On December 4th at approximately 10:36am,  Jefferson County Dispatch received a call that a man had been shot at 6155 142nd st. rural Valley Falls.

William Schoonover , 58 yoa of rural Valley Falls was transported by ambulance to Stormont Vail Hospital with a gunshot wound.

John Hayworth Jr, 62 yoa of rural Valley Falls was transported to the Jefferson County Jail, and booked in on the charge of Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree; intentional.

Reason for shooting is still under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office.
