Jefferson County Courthouse Scam

It has come to our attention that another scam has arrived in Jefferson County.

Three Citizens have called and told us that they received a phone call from a person saying they were from the Jefferson County Courthouse and that they either had an outstanding summons or speeding ticket that had not been taken care of. One instance the caller had personal information including the social security number of the citizen being called.

It appears that the caller is trying to get your personal information.

The Jefferson County Courthouse WILL NOT call you on the phone.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!

If you receive a phone call like this, do not give the caller any information and hang up.
